PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the rush current of inverter power supply circuit without causing any trouble in the modification of output capacity of power supply. SOLUTION: The rush current limiter for power supply comprises a rectifier 2, an inverter 4, and a capacitor C connected between positive and negative lines between the output terminal of rectifier 2 and the input terminal of inverter 4. The capacitor C is connected in series with a current limiting resistor (r) connected in parallel with a bypass contact 8 which can be turned on/off. The bypass contact 8 is opened when power is turned on and closed upon finishing the charging operation. Subsequently, the capacitor C is charged/discharged through the bypass contact 8. |
