PURPOSE: To obtain supplementary light having brightness suitable for respective circumstances even in the case luminance is low and to realize accurate focusing by controlling the driving of a light projecting means based on the focal length information of a focusing optical system detected by a focal length detecting means. CONSTITUTION: While receiving an LCOM signal from a microcomputer 1, a lens control circuit 2 performs serial communication through a data bus DBUS and controls a motor in accordance with the contents of the communication so as to control the distance ring of a photographing lens and a diaphragm. The microcomputer 1 receives the focal length information of a lens, best focus correction information and other various kinds of correction information from the control circuit 2. Then, voltage impressed on the light projecting means is changed and a driving pulse is changed by the microcomputer 1 controlling the supplementary light for automatic focusing and an auxiliary light turning-on circuit 11 based on the focal length information of the focusing optical system detected by a focal length detection unit 6. |
