PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-accuracy navigation by preventing the occurrence of erroneous rearrangement by providing a plurality of reference levels for rearrangement and selecting one reference level in accordance with the reliability judged by a detecting means. SOLUTION: A setting means 5 sets a reference level so that detected data can be rearranged in the passable range of map data when the detected data get out of the passable range. Namely, a plurality of reference levels, such as a level '3' (=high), level '2' (=intermediate), and level '1' (=off), is provided for rearrangement in accordance with the distance from a detecting location and the occurrence of erroneous rearrangement is prevented by switching the level to level '3' on a straight road or highway or to level '1' on a complicated road. When, for example, road information is stored in a storing means 3 as attribute information, the level switching can be automated. In addition, when the detecting means 1 detects a remarkable drop of location detecting reliability, the means 1 rearranges the detected data on a road anyhow by raising the reference level. Therefore, the reliability of navigation can be improved. |
