<p>PURPOSE: To provide an image pickup device which can acquire the RGB signals of a wide band from the output of a CCD image pickup element and can secure high picture quality. CONSTITUTION: The signals of two systems which are read out of a solid state image pickup element 1 are turned into the digital signals by the A/D converters 2 and 3 and then processed by a chrominance signal processing circuit 4 and a luminance signal processing circuit 5 respectively. At the same time, the signals of two systems are delayed by a single field period by a field memory 6 and synchronized with the non-delayed signals by the signal synthesizing circuits 8 and 9. Then a matrix arithmetic circuit 8 of the circuit 4 generates the RGB signals of a wide band from those synchronized signals.</p> |
