发明名称 DETECTOR USING HYDROGEN FLAME
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen-flame-using detector which can ignite hydrogen flames without having an ignition device built in and operating ignition by means of separate ignitors. CONSTITUTION: When a flame ionization detector is ignited, for example, if the flow rate of air supplied from around a nozzle 2 is sufficiently limited to about one-fifth that when the detector is used, air does not disturb flow, allowing hydrogen gas to flow near the center of the nozzle 2 and making the concentration of the hydrogen gas relatively high as compared with the surroundings. When a closely wound platinum coil 12 is placed in the flow of a high hydrogen gas concentration, a reaction takes place at the surface of the platinum coil 12 to initiate combustion of the hydrogen gas. Since the combustion speed of the flame is higher than the speed of the flow, the flame goes backward, and hydrogen flame 7 is ignited at the end of the nozzle 2.
