PURPOSE: To form an output image where a color change is unremarkable from an image including a high saturation color and to generate an output image in which deformed gradation or skipped gradation is not caused. CONSTITUTION: After color image information in a frame memory 1 is received by a CPU 4 via an external interface 3, conversion circuits 5, 6 convert an RGB signal into an LCH (brightness, saturation, hue) signal. The LCH signal is converted into an LCH signal within a color reproducing range of an output system with a color conversion processing circuit 7 and then converted into a CMY signal for a printer. |
