PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small circuit breaking device having a communication circuit by setting a parallel reactor capacity to the specified DC circuit breaking current value and a critical dimensionless circuit breaking current value so as to satisfy the specified equation. SOLUTION: A DC circuit breaker 1 which cuts off direct current in a electric power line, a communication circuit having a parallel capacitor 3 and a parallel reactor 2 connected to the DC circuit breaker 1, and a surge absorber 4 of the parallel capacitor 3 are arranged.
