PURPOSE: To resolve problems such as melting of the insulator of a winding due to the loss of a transformer for impedance conversion and a difficulty of heat radiation. CONSTITUTION: Isolation transformers T1 and T2 are provided between individual ports 1 and 2 and a common port 3 and an unbalance absorbing resistor R is provided between individual ports 1 and 2 to constitute a power splitting and synthesizing device. For matching with another apparatus, transformers T3 and T4 for impedance conversion are installed on the individual port sides of isolation transformers T1 and T2 . Thus, the impedance is 40Ωwhen the impedance of each of individual ports 1 and 2 is 50Ω, and matching is possible. Powers of transformers T3 and T4 for impedance conversion on the individual port sides are small, and heat generation due to the transformer loss is reduced.
