<p>PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which prevents transfer-material separation failure and steadily forms a high quality image. CONSTITUTION: In the image forming device equipped with a photoreceptive drum (image carrier) 1, an image forming means for forming an image on the photoreceptive drum 1, an intermediate transfer body (transfer means) 5 for transferring the image, formed by the image forming means, to the transfer material P, and a carrying means for carrying the transfer material P, the carrying means is composed of a transfer belt 7 and projections 11a are formed on the surface of a roller 11 which supports the transfer belt 7 from its rear and in the position where the transfer material P is separated from the transfer belt 7. Owing to the projections 11 a formed on the roller 11 supporting the transfer belt 7, the transfer belt 7 waves in the separating position, so that an air gap is made between the transfer belt 7 and transfer material P, the transfer material P is securely separated from the transfer belt 7, failure of the separation of the transfer material P is prevented, and the high quality image is, therefore, steadily obtained.</p> |
