PURPOSE: To relatively control the operating speed of a processor and the magnification of images in enlarging/reducing processing. CONSTITUTION: A linear oscillation control part 32 generates a linear clock signal LCLK with which a frequency can be almost continuously changed. The linear clock signal LCLK is applied to a CPU 30, buffer memory 38 and A/D converter 50. The CPU 30 executes video processing synchronously with the linear clock signal LCLK. Therefore, the power consumption of the CPU 30 is proportional to the frequency of the linear clock signal LCLK. The A/D converter 50 converts an analog video signal to a digital video signal synchronously with the linear clock signal LCLK. In the case of conversion due to the A/D converter 50, a moving image is horizontally enlarged/reduced in the magnification proportional to the frequency of the linear clock signal LCLK. |
