PURPOSE: To provide a easy-to-handle, economical constitution for the line monitor device which monitors a line, tests line communication, and measures the line level. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a line connection part 1 which is connected to the line with a clip, etc., a line termination part 2 which terminates for an analog line by an analog termination part 11 and for a digital line by a digital line termination part 12, a test signal generation part 3 which generates a test signal, and a test signal detection part 4 which detects the test signal from the line. Further, the device is equipped with an error detection part 5 which detects an error of data from the line, a level measurement part 6 which measures the levels of the test signal sent out to the line and the signal from the line respectively, a common part 7 which controls the respective parts, and a control part 8 including a recording part 9 which records test results and measurement results at each specified time and a display part 10 which displays the recording contents, etc., and switches a line monitoring function, a line communication testing function, and a line level measuring function. |
