PURPOSE: To provide the musical instrument which can acquire the operation of a key by a sensor that is low in cost since no light is used and the constitution is simple. CONSTITUTION: A displacement sensor 10 can select a detection position or stand-by position through a lever 24. At the detection position shown in the figure, key depression timing and a velocity can be detected through two contacts in a rubber switch 16 by bringing the sensor into contact with the reverse surface 2a of a key 2. The whole rubber switch 16 is made of rubber as an elastic member and equipped internally with a round rod projection part which has a conductive layer atop and an annular projection part which is less in projection quantity and has a conductive layer atop, and further equipped with a contact terminal opposite the conductive layer; and the displacement sensor 10 does not use light and is of extremely simple constitution and manufactured at low cost. |
