PURPOSE: To automate the battery measuring work, shorten the operation time and make the work precise, and early detect the failure of battery, save the labor, and reduce the maintenance cost. CONSTITUTION: Input voltage to an uninterruptible power supply unit 1 to feed a computer working load 3 with a current in time of power failure is opened or closed by an input voltage switch 4. At the time of judging the quality of a battery unit 2, a control means 6 is controlled via a public telephone line 12 or the like from a personal computer 7, opening the input voltage switch 4, and the battery unit 2 of the uninterruptible power supply unit 1 is discharged at the value proportional to the load current. Simultaneously with the start of discharging, terminal voltage of the battery unit 2 is read by a voltage measurement-storage means 5, and it is transmitted to a personal computer 7 from a control means 6 via the public telephone line 12 or the like. After the completion of operations, the control means 6 is controlled by the personal computer 7 via the public telephone line 12 or the like, closing the input voltage switch 4, and the uninterruptible power supply unit 4, and this unit 1 is put back to the normal operation. |
