PURPOSE: To provide a microwave oscillator which can effectively suppress the higher harmonic component in a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oscillator consists of a conductor strip, a semiconductor element, etc., which are mounted on a dielectric substrate 2 having a ground conductor 1 on its back. Then an oscillation circuit 10 which oscillates by the desired frequency (f) is added to the oscillator together with an output stub 32 that is connected to the circuit 10. An output signal is taken out at a position equivalent to theλ/4 length of the n-multiple frequency (nf) of the frequency (f) that is measured from the open end of the stub 32 . It is desired that the output signal is taken out via a coupling capacitor element or via a pattern gap of a small space formed between a partial lengthwise end face of the stub 32 and a partial end face of a signal take-out conductor strip 33 or taken out on a partial upper surface of the stub 32 via a dielectric layer. Then the take-out position of the output signal is changed in the lengthwise direction of the stub 32 , so that the level of the output signal is adjusted.
