<p>PURPOSE: To change the shape of the guide groove of a paper money discriminator according to various sizes of paper money. CONSTITUTION: A paper money discriminator 1 has a case 2 and a guide member 9 can be loaded into and unloaded out of an fitting groove 8 that is formed at the side part of a carrying path 3 prepared in the case 2. An almost cross- shaped window part 26 is formed at the inside of the member 9, and a discrimination sensor 6 can be selectively set at plural positions of the part 26. As the member 9 containing a guide groove 12 that is adaptive to different sizes of paper money can be selectively set into the groove 8, the paper money of different sizes can be smoothly carried. Furthermore, the sensor 6 is set at a desired position in the part 26, so that the physical features such as the optical or magnetic features, etc., of various parts of the paper money can be acquired by the sensor 6.</p> |
