摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle synchronous generator and its excitation control method which facilitate the temperature rise of the motor and the decline of the field flux. SOLUTION: When a three-phase synchronous generator 100 is generating an electric power, semiconductor switching devices 11a-11f are controlled to supply capacitive currents from a battery 9 to the stator windings 5a-5c of the three-phase synchronous generator 100 through the semiconductor switching devices 11a-11f. With this constitution, the field flux can be increased by the capacitive currents and a generated voltage can be elevated by the flux increase and hence a generated power can be increased. Or, if a field current is reduced by the value corresponding to the flux increase, the temperature rise of the field coil can be suppressed.</p>
