METHOD OF REPLACING EXISTING BURIED PIPE WITH NEW PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out a non-metallic buried pipe like an asbestos pipe without breaking it so as to facilitate the subsequent treatment thereof. SOLUTION: A method of replacing a non-metallic buried pipe 22 existing underground with a new pipe is provided. This method is consisting of detection of metallic joints or branch saddles 24 set on the buried pipe, separation of the joints or branch saddles from the buried pipe, forcible insertion of a sheath pipe 30 underground so as to surround the buried pipe, drawing out the buried pipe to recover it, forcibly placing a new pipe in a position from where the buried pipe is drawn out so as to remove the sheath pipe.
