PURPOSE: To realize the scaling-down of a GPS receiver and reduction of cost with respect to a satellite receiver for detecting the present position of a user according to the radio wave from an artificial satellite. CONSTITUTION: A GPS receiver 11 consists of a GPS main unit 12, a card unit 13 and a host device 15. The unti 12 is provided with a GPS demodulation part 23 for only demodulating the radio wave receiving from a satellite. Then, a DLL 32 is provided on the side of the host device 15 in order to operate a measured position data according to the demodulated signal, and a CPU performs picture processing in accordance with a program of an application software 33 and a map data of a map IC card 34 relating to the GPS, and the result is indicated by a display part. |
