PURPOSE: To measure leakage current over the surface of the complex insulating hollow porcelain with high accuracy by a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage conductor 3 and a grounding shield electrode 4 are disposed coaxially in the complex insulating hollow porcelain 1 in which gaseous insulating medium 2 is filled. A detecting shield electrode 8 is provided for the surface of the complex insulating hollow porcelain 1, and the complex insulating hollow porcelain is so constituted that leakage current over the surface of the aforesaid porcelain can be measured through the detecting shield electrode 8.
