ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide a general purpose electric connector with high noise damping effect by fitting a coaxial capacitor for the terminal of a contact to a fixing hole of an earth plate, and electrically connecting the earth plate and the contact. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of contacts 4 in which a pressure connecting part 8a is formed at the upper end and a terminal 8 at the lower end are inserted into a contact holding housing 1 for fixing. A coaxial capacitor 6 for the terminal 8 is fit to a fixing hole formed in an earth plate 5 fixed to an earth supporting housing 3. The coaxial capacitor 6 is electrically connected to the earth plate 5 and the contact 4. The high-frequency noise component of current flowing through the terminal 8 is introduced into an earth through the capacitor 6 to reduce the noise. An electric connector is easily formed by putting the contact with carrier into the contact holding from the upper part by applying pressure, then cutting out the carrier.
