PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the irradiation width of rod-shaped lenses wide by giving a high diffusion effect and a condensing effect to the lenses and to provide a linear light source with a light-receiving element, which is solid and is easy to operate. SOLUTION: A linear light source with a light-emitting element is provided with a plurality of light-emitting diodes 102 placed in alignment on one plane of a substrate 101, a light-receiving element array 105 provided on the same plane as the one plane of the substrate 101 in parallel to the row of the diodes 102 and long lens bodies 104, which have a ridge parallel to the row of the diodes 102, cover the diodes 102 and direct light closer over to the array 105 than over to the diodes 102. Each lens body 104 is provided with a lens surface 108 and a low surface 109, which comprises a curved surface or a plane of a radius larger than that of a lens surface provided under the lower part of the center of the curvature of the lens surface 108. |
