<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the entire recording time by reducing a carrying time of recording paper. CONSTITUTION: A sorting page discrimination section 42 discriminates a predetermined sorting page in advance. Then a tray selection section 43 selects a tray containing recording paper in a direction matching carrying direction of the lengthwise direction of recording paper for recording sorted pages. Furthermore, the section 43 elects a tray containing recording paper whose lengthwise direction is orthogonal to the carrying direction for other pages than the sorted pages. An image rotation section 34 conducts rotation processing to match the direction of the image with a direction of the recording paper contained in the selected recording paper tray. The rotated image is fed to an image transfer section 3 and recorded onto the recording paper.</p> |
