<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the catalyst of second stage from being affected by local deterioration even when the local deterioration is generated in the catalyst of a first stage. CONSTITUTION: A mixing means, mixing combustion gas, passed through a catalyst at the most upstream position, is provided between a catalyst 23 and another catalyst 25 while unburnt gas, passed through local deterioration zone, is mixed by the mixing means and guided to the catalyst of downstream side to carry out combustion reaction across the whole zone substantially without biasing to one part.</p> |
