The device determines the position of a dental implant (2). It allows for the fixing of the position of the implant before the bedding-in phase without an additional risk to the bedding-in process of the implant. At least a part of the jaw implant or a part of a post (3) of a jaw implant together with at least a tooth (4) a crown or a bridge or another defined oral structure is mechanically or automatically, using a computer, connected by a defined shaped connection (1). The connection is removable but can be reassembled in exactly the same manner.
