Setting parameters and initial conditions for predictive controller - using parameters of regulator automatically obtained from simplified linear model

A process is used for setting the parameters and initial conditions of a heuristic predictive regulator. The process is based upon the generation of the parameters of the predictive regulator being automatically determined as based upon parameters from a simplified linear model. The parameters allow tuning of the regulator and achieve a change in set point without overshoot occuring. The system uses a model of the form k. exp (-Tz.s) / (1 + Ts)n.
