The valve is operated by a single lever, and can have a changeover system for use with a bath or shower as desired. The controlling components are contained in a cartridge with water-inlet and outlet bores and fitting via sealing joints on a baseplate on the valve body (1) and which contains mating bores. The distance-tubes (14, 15) are on the side of the baseplate towards the valve body, and fit in mating bores (25, 26) in the latter, in which they slide in the axial direction, forming sealing joints with them. The tube ends can screw into the baseplate, being equipped with sealing O-rings (20). There can be two further O-rings on each tube, fitting in grooves (21, 22) at the other end and forming seals in the valve-body bores.
