Fire or burglar alarm system indicator display facility - with microcomputer having serial interface and memory contg. serial software protocol for central alarm facility to process data from central facility

The display has a single chip microcomputer [2], a battery backed working memory [3], a ROM [4], a serial interface [5], driver control circuits [6] and a matrix of LED indicators [7]. The system has a parallel input [8] coupled to the memories. Also built into the system is a watch dog circuit [9] for automatic reset. A multi function push button [10], a piezo alarm buzzer [11] and a relay [12] for connection with an external alarm. An additional contact [14] serves as a sabotage contact and is connected to the central alarm facility. The memory has space reserved for a history function to show the chronological series of alarm inputs of each single alarm appts. e.g. to show the spread of a fire graphically on the display [1] by pressing the multi function push button.
