The immobiliser has a driver's seat with a back which tilts forward from its base to meet the steering wheel. The seat has compound hooks (3) each with a series of points one of which fits around a stop and prevents further movement of the seat back. The hooks are engaged or disengaged by a knob (1) and strong operating rods (2). The seat is locked in position using the ignition key in a lock (4). With the seat in the tilted forward position a thief cannot gain access to the pedals and steering wheel.
