The proposed device is intended for use in normalising the functional state of an organism by the application of an electrical current to the brain through contact electrodes via the cranial covering. The invention in essence lies in the fact that the apparatus, comprising a control unit (2), power supply unit (3), galvanic isolator unit (4), digital-analogue and analogue-digital converters (5, 6), protective unit (8), commutator (11) and electrodes, is provided in addition with a master generator (7), a unit (9) for measuring pre-set currents and frequencies (9), a unit (10) for measuring acting currents, frequencies and resistances, and a logic unit (13).
