The system includes a remote control apparatus which includes a keyboard that contains at least one key for programme selection. The key serves for selection of more than one programme. Pref. the remote control has several programme selecting keys, each allocated with a letter. A programme may be associated with a key marked with the programmes initial letters. If several programmes are associated with one selecting key, they can be selected by repeated depression of the key.
