The support stand (1) is intended particularly for large poster cases etc., it is arranged in the driver's line of vision high above the normal road traffic flow. It is of telescopic type such that its lower portion (12) consists of a ground anchored, vertical, working cylinder (2). The cylinder holds an axially movable, telescopic part (3) of the support stand. It is guided to prevent radial twist. An acquisition board carrier, eg. an illuminated large show case (7) is secured on it.
