Welding pipes formed from metal strip - where welding current curves are obtained before welding and stored in the memory of a memory-programmable system
摘要

Welding metal components with the same wall thickness uses a stationary electrode joined to a welding current source. The current is regulated relative to the speed at which the components undergoing welding are moved past the electrode. With the material and wall thickness used as parameters, curves (I-X) of the required welding current are obtained for a variety of different components between the points (S) and (A) corresponding to these components respectively at rest and moving at normal speed. The curves are stored in the memory of a memory-programmable control system. Each welding current curve is assigned (separately from the other curves) to its own element in the operating unit of the equipment.
