Rail installation method in which a reaction mixture, which forms a vibration insulating material, is introduced into the space enclosed by the formwork. The reaction mixture is introduced on both sides of the web (3) of the rail (1) and partly under the base (2) of the rail. After the reaction process has taken place in the reaction mixture the web of the rail and the rail base are smoothly embedded in the resulting plastics material and plastics foam. The reaction mixture is a two-part polyurethane reaction mixture.
