Either the thrust spindle (9,9') or the spindle nut (12,12') are rotatable by a motor (2), while the complementary component is non-rotatably, but longitudinally slidably fitted in a housing (1). The thread of the spindle and nut is free of self-clamping. A load moment block, effective in both rotary directions, is fitted between the motor drive shaft, or an output shaft (18) of the motor transmission, and the driven and rotated component. Typically the spindle is rotatably driven and the nut is non-rotatable, but longitudinally slidable.
