PURPOSE: To give stable negative pressure with high volume using efficiency by connecting the bottom of an ink tank to a member having at least a partition wall, and forming an orifice near the connecting part. CONSTITUTION: This method for manufacturing an ink tank for an ink jet recorder comprises the steps of separately manufacturing a member having at least a bottom l and a member having at least a partition wall 2, and connecting them to form an orifice 4. The bottom 1 and the wall 2 are separately formed, and hence the formation of the orifice 4 near the connecting part is facilitated. The orifice 4 is formed to eliminate the remainder of ink at the lower part from the position of the orifice 4, and the volume using efficiency of the ink of the tank is enhanced. Further, a compartment tank for giving stable negative pressure can be obtained. |
