<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform an economical and efficient hot standby operation by sing a recycled air which is released into the atmosphere for the hot standby operation of an air cooling and drying device in a shutdown state. CONSTITUTION: A discharge valve 15a is disposed in a bypass from a four way valve 8a to a three way valve 14b and at an outlet for the four way valve 8a. When regenerating the adsorbent of an adsorption tower 7b, the discharge valve 15a is closed and the recycled air used by a device for performing a hot standby operation which is in the operating mode, is aspirated through the three way valve 14b for the device. The recycled air is heated by a heater 11b but the waste heat still remains in the recycled air. Therefore, the load of the heater 11b is reduced. The heated recycled air is conducted to the adsorption tower 7b through the four way valve 9b to thermally regenerate an adsorbent 6b, and the air after being used is discharged into the atmosphere from the discharge valve 15b through the four way valve 8b.</p> |
