The method for spraying symbols, in particular numbers and letters, onto a surface is carried out by means of ink from spray guns (11). The spray guns are grouped in rows by juxtaposition of rigid spray gun blocks. The print lines are arranged in the normal to the relative motion of the surface to be printed. The symbols (17) which are incompletely printed in the first print line are completed in the second, following print line. The method has the advantage that, due to the juxtaposition of different spray gun blocks, for example a seven-element and a four-element block, virtually any number of symbols can be produced. <IMAGE> |
