<p>PURPOSE: To provide an air-cooled drying device capable of maintaining the function of an adsorption tower at a high level by interpreting whether the tower can be regenerated based on a signal for the completion of a heating regeneration process, without measuring the moisture content of a dried air and issuing a warning, if the regeneration is inadequate. CONSTITUTION: This air-cooled drying device consists of absorption towers 3, 4 aligned with a third adsorption tower 17 and a three way valve 18 and four way valves 10, 10a, 10b, 10c which select from between a used state and a suspended state by switching the air suction flow passages of these three adsorption towers 3, 4, 17. Normally the adsorption towers 3, 4, 17 are set to the adsorption cycle in that order, while the adsorption towers 17, 3, 4 are set to the energized regeneration cycle in that order. The adsorption tower which is not in both cycles, is in a standby position. If the adsorption tower 4 cannot be regenerated adequately, it needs to be continuously regenerated by heat. The adsorption tower 4 has to be continuously regenerated by heat up to the time when the regeneration is possible in the single round of the thermal regeneration process by the adsorption tower 3. Unless the problem of the inadequate regeneration is solved, the adsorption tower 17 which is in the standby position is activated for adsorption and the adsorption tower 4 is further thermally regenerated. Finally, if the time required for the adsorption tower 17 to be able to adsorb the air moisture indicates the time for the thermal regeneration of the adsorption tower 3, a warning is issued.</p> |
