<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric precipitator for surely removing dust in gas with stable corona discharge through lower applied voltage in which there is little fear of causing a short circuit or the like without increasing the distance between a dust collecting electrode and a discharge electrode. SOLUTION: In a body 1 in which cylindrical dust collecting electrodes 2, 3 are concentrically arranged, a gas flow route of functioning as a gas cyclone is constructed, and in the cylinders of the dust collecting electrodes 2, 3, a discharge electrode 4 to which voltage of reverse polarity is applied is arranged. Therefore, since gas from which dust of large size has been removed by the gas cyclone is fed between the dust collecting electrodes 2, 3 and the discharge electrode 4, the occurrence of a short circuit between both the electrodes by such dust is reduced, and since the dust collecting electrodes 2, 3 each are formed in a cylindrical shape and their heat deformation when high temperature gas is fed to them is restrained, nonuniform discharge of each discharge electrode 4 is prevented.</p> |
