ANTISTATIC URETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To obtain an antistatic urethane resin compsn. having both a high dimensional accuracy and high antistatic properties by using a liq. urethane resin of which the main component has a specified viscosity and which contains carbon fibers. CONSTITUTION: A liq. urethane resin which comprises a main component having a viscosity of 150-900cP and a curative component and contains carbon fibers is cast into a mold and cured to give an antistatic urethane resin molding. The resin is of a two-component type; i.e., the main polyol component is cured by mixing it with a curative component comprising a methylenebis(4-phenyl isocyanate)-based prepolymer. Pref. both the components do not contain xylene. Carbon fibers having an average length of 0.5-1.5mm and an average diameter of 10-20μm can be used and is compounded usually in an amt. of 3-10wt.% based on 100wt.% liquid urethane resin.
