PURPOSE: To improve the wettability for various types of ink and at the same time, enhance the surface quality and dimensional stability by blending a specified amount of polyetheresteramide to a thermoplastic synthetic resin used for a member for temporarily storing ink. CONSTITUTION: This member 1 for temporarily storing ink of a writing instrument consists of a groove 2 for temporarily storing ink with a sinking comb-like vertical cross section, an inner hole 3 and a slit 4 for communicating with the groove 2. The member 1 is injection-molded using a blend of 5-13wt.% of polyetheresteramide and a thermoplastic synthetic resin. When the polyetheresteramide is blended with the thermoplastic synthetic resin and the blend is used for a water ink or an ink containing alcohol as a main solvent, the polyetheresteramine is well compatible with the ink as the hydroxyl group is adsorbed. Consequently, the member 1 for temporarily storing ink shows improved wetting properties for various types of ink, an excellent surface quality and a high dimensional stability. |
