<p>PURPOSE: To provided both a dent for a loom excellent in abrasion and impact resistances, strength and toughness and further dimensional accuracy without causing cracking in shock of beating a reed and a method for producing the dent. CONSTITUTION: This dent 19 for a loom is formed by sintering a ceramic powder, having <=1μm average particle diameter and containing >=90% particles having <=3μm particle diameter. Ceramics, a ceramic composite or a cermet powder is used as the ceramic powder, which is prepared by slurrying thereof with a binder or a solvent, preparing a green sheet according to a doctor blade method, forming the green sheet into a prescribed shape and then sintering the formed green sheet at 1300-1900 deg.C. The sintered compact is aged at 1200-1800 deg.C to thereby produced the desired dent 19.</p> |
