<p>PURPOSE: To make a small-sized low-cost recycling apparatus to be widely used at the sites of producing foam plastic wastes by bringing a foam plastic waste into contact with a heater to cause the vol. reduction and thermal decomposition of the waste to thereby recover a thermal decomposition oil with a high value added. CONSTITUTION: About 5-20kg of a foamed plastic waste D is charged into a vol. reduction chamber A through an upper charging port, and the chamber is capped with a movable lid simultaneously acting as a wt. The waste is melted and subjected to vol. reduction by energizing a metal or ceramic rod heater F to 160-200 deg.C and then is allowed to dwell in a thermal decomposition chamber B. The lid falls down to the position of a stopper H, is held therewith, and acts as a partition between the chambers A and B. Nitrogen gas is introduced into the chamber B through a gas-introducing port G and the heater F is energized to 450 deg.C to thermally decompose the molten waste. A gas generated by the decomposition is sent to a cooling chamber C, cooled with a cooling pipe J to be liquefied, and recovered as a thermal decomposition oil in a reservoir.</p> |
