System for burning waste using thermal energy comprising a first and second combustion chamber connected by a passageway for the gas. Close to the centre of the first chamber are installed two tubular or heat-resistant grilles and a roller on the grid of the furnace. The waste is conveyed on a distributor, fed horizontally from spiral feeders and allowed to fall by gravity to be stacked on the grilles like a high, thin wall; the said wall is dried and lowered gradually by a roller onto the grid of the furnace. The combustion gases flow up and down along the surface of the wall. The drying time before discharge onto the grid and the ability to come into contact with the combustion gases increase in order to reduce the ratio of excess air; the temperature of the combustion gases is greatly increased and the thermal efficiency is improved. <IMAGE> |
