PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel by which design on the upper surface side and connecting workability to a steering shaft can be improved and on which an air bag device can be arranged without hindrance. SOLUTION: A steering wheel main body 10 except an air bag device 30 is composed of a metallic core metal part 11 and a soft urethane covering part 15 formed by reactive injection molding. The core metal part 11 is provided with ring core metal 12, spoke core metal 13 and boss core metal 14 having a connecting part 24 where a steering shaft upper end is connected to a lower part from the lower side. The covering part 15 is provided with a core metal covering layer 16 and a ceiling covering layer 17 having a door part 17c to open when an air bag device is actuated. The air bag device 30 is composed of an air bag 31 and an inflator 32 to expand the air bag, and is wrapped in a rupturable film, and is held by the boss core metal 14, and is embedded in the ceiling covering layer 17. |
