PURPOSE: To compensate the temperature of a metallic plate just in front of rolling rolls, to suppress the oxidation on the surface of the metallic plate, and to manufacture a satisfactory clad plate by making at least one of separate rolls into heating rolls, arranging a separate roll unit just in front of the rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION: A separate roll unit 40 is arranged just in front of the rolling rolls 18 and 19 of a rolling mill. Plural separate rolls are constituted of a temperature measuring roll 42 serving as a separate roll, separate rolls 44, 45 and 46 with small diameters, serving as positioning cylinders 43, and heating rolls 51, 52, 53 and 54 with positioning cylinders 47 and serving as separate rolls. Plates 4, 2 and 6 are properly separated by the separate rolls 44 to 46 and 51 to 54 on this side of a drawing down position. Desired joining is performed by adjusting anglesθ1 andθ2 among the plates by the separate rolls 44, 45 and 46 of a final stage. The winding angles of the plates 4, 2 and 6 are adjusted by the positioning cylinders 43 and 47 installed individually on each roll. |
