PURPOSE: To obtain a novel 1,3-dioxolane which has strong antimycotic activity as well as antibacterial activity and is useful as an antimycotic agent for medicine or quasi drugs or cosmetics, and as a microbicidal agent for agriculture, paper making and synthetic fibers. CONSTITUTION: This dioxolane is represented by formula I R is a (substituted) N-containing heterocyclic group, a group of the formula: NR<1> R<2> [R<1> is H, a lower alkyl; R<2> is a (substituted) aromatic group, a (substituted) aralkyl, a (substituted) N-containing heterocyclic group, the group of the formula: CH2 CH= CH-C=C-tert.-But]; X<1> and X<2> are each a halogen; Y is H, X<1> } or its salt, forexample, cis-2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(1IH-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)-4-(4- methylphenylamino)methyl-1,3--dioxolane. The compound of formula I is prepared by reaction of a compound of formula II (Me is methyl) with a compound of the formula: RH. |
