PURPOSE: To provide a correct blood flow speed with a few operations by obtaining a blood flow direction (Doppler angle) based on a blood speed (color data) obtained in a first blood flow speed measurement means and converting the blood flow speed (Doppler data) of an observation point obtained in a second blood flow speed measurement means based on the blood flow direction. CONSTITUTION: A control part 20 controls the flow of data outputted from a Doppler processing part 13, inputs the data required for measuring the blood flow speed of the observation point to a pulse Doppler processing part 15 and inputs the data required for forming color flow images to a color flow analysis part 16. The color flow analysis part 16 obtains blood flow distribution over a wide area within a tomographic surface, tentatively stores it in a color frame memory 18 and thereafter, inputs it in an image display control part 23. A Doppler angle display control part 22 obtains the Doppler angle based on the color data stored in the color frame memory 18, makes the blood flow direction be displayed on a display screen and displays a scale based on the Doppler angle. |
