REPLACEMENT ACCESSORY FOR INSERTION OF CONNECTOR WHICH IS COMBINED WITH CATHETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a changeable accessory used in combination with various kind of cathether in order to perform diagnosis or curing treatment under the atmosphere where the reverse flow of blood is controlled. SOLUTION: An accessory 10 has a hollow long sleeve 14 to be inserted into a connector 16, and an enlarged head 18 for preventing the sleeve 14 from advancing to the connector together with a cathether 12. The sleeve 14 is fitted to the shaft of cathether slidably, and positioned between the sealing member in the connector 16 and the cathether 12. The inner dia. of the sleeve 14 is larger than the outer dia. of the catherter shaft and fitted thereto and defines a sufficient space to enable the reverse flow of blood in a controlled state around the cathether shaft. The sleeve 14 is provided with a head with a slot for accommodating a guiding wire parallel with the cathether shaft in the case of the combined use with the cathether 12 of a monorail type, and allow it to extend in the vicinity of the connector 16 without bending the guiding wire.
