PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce an N-acyl carbamate sensitive in terms of reaction and heat in high yield at a low temperature under a mild condition. SOLUTION: In this method for producing an N-acyl carbamate of the formula (R<3> -CO-NR<1> -CO)n R<2> (R<1> is hydrogen, a monofunctional aliphatic, aromatic or arylaliphatic 1-10C substituted or nonsubstituted hydrocarbon group; R<2> is a mono-, di-, tri- or tetrafunctional saturated or unsaturated aliphatic, aromatic or arylaliphatic 1-10C substituted or nonsubstituted hydrocarbon group; R<3> is a monofunctional saturated or unsaturated aliphatic, aromatic or arylaliphatic 1-10C substituted or nonsubstituted hydrocarbon group; n is 1, 2, 3, or 4), a carbamate of the formula (NHR<1> -COO)n R<2> is reacted with an anhydride of the formula (R<3> CO)2 O at 0-80 deg.C optionally in the presence of a strong acid. |
